The Good Teacher

Back to Thought Board

It just occurred to me, that the good teacher doesn’t give you the right answer, but tells you your mistakes.
(I had other iterations, closely aligned to the Socratic method:
The good teacher doesn’t answer, but questions.)
Of course, criticism alone doesn’t teach. But it often drives you very far, to the point that you begin pointing your own flaws and may start teaching yourself. Of course, you may deem that as a gift or a curse, depending on what you think about life.
